National Fart Day 2024: You might be polite enough to ignore a person’s accidental loud fart in public, but try not to be ignorant enough to not openly acknowledge ‘National Fart Day’.Yes, believe it or not, but there is a day called ‘National Fart Day’, and it is today, February 05. And yes again, apart from dedicating a day to ‘fart out loud’ in public, there are more reasons why the ‘peculiar’ day is celebrated across the world.

If ‘words’ was a group of friends, the term ‘fart’ would have definitely been treated as the ‘goof’ of the group. From the term itself to the act of farting, anything and everything related to fart has always been associated with either embarrassment or a joke. Maybe it's the fact that sometimes it stinks, or it might be because it is basically a gas released out of the anus. But regardless, nothing changes the fact that farting has more to do with one’s health and less with jokes. And for that reason alone, the day, National Fart Day, is celebrated all around the globe. It is a day that reportedly aims to create awareness about one’s digestive health.

However, all ‘science, health and biology’ went for a toss as soon as the ‘day’ reached the internet, as now, all everyone can talk about are fart memes and jokes on social media. Taking to it, people shared their hilarious greetings and wishes. Most cracked funny memes and ‘stinky’ jokes, while some found the day a perfect one to ‘fart out loud’. Some people also shared awareness about the day by explaining the reason behind celebrating ‘National Fart Day’.

“February 5th #NationalFartDay Still think he did,” a user said.

“Time for silly...It's #NationalFartDay. One area of life where practice does not make perfect. Happy Friday,” said another user.

“Asked Phil to record this for me bc fart jokes completely disarm me,” said another.

“Happy National Fart Day!  #NationalFartDay #TheLighthouse,” wished a fourth user.

“February 5th is "National Fart Day" and even Sushi's farts are cute,” said another.
