In the last few years, the rift between employers and employees has only grown stronger, especially in the corporate world. And most of the time, it's the boss or the employer who is at the receiving end of the ‘blame’ when it comes to reasons behind the creation of the said ‘rift’. Exemplifying something similar, a social media post was recently shared online, where yet another employer ended up becoming the ‘villain in the story’. And rightly so, as the post had a picture of a notice that was meant for the employees, where it asked workers to not ask for leaves to look after their sick kids. The company where the notice was issued, went even far enough to remind the employees that the company ‘did not hire their kids’, which meant that a leave to take care of the kids was not an ‘excuse’ anymore.

“Attention all employees: Calling out because your child is sick is no longer a valid excuse to miss work and will now result in a write-up. We do not employ your children and as such their sickness is not an excuse for you to miss work. Go team,” the notice read.

The post was shared on Reddit, by the Redditor ‘__7_7_7__’. The post was captioned, “Where would you report this kind of behaviour.” The post was shared three days ago and pulled 1.3K upvotes.

The post, after getting shared, went viral and left people reacting. Most people were offended and called the notice insensitive, while the rest recalled instances where they faced something similar.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Yeah, I think that line was actually telling the "team" to leave the company as fast as possible. Dust that resumes off folks,” a user said. “Lmao I came here to comment on that. The fact that they know they're being too mean, so they felt the need to soften the blow at the end,” added a second person.

“Right?! My cognitive disconnect is hilariously sad and awesome all at once. A more honest writing of this sign would read- “F**ķ you, your kids, and your entire family. Servitude Unity Joy!” added a third person. “Funny, cause soon they’ll be saying- no team,” added the fourth user. “I’m starting to think shit like this is why boomers and silent era folks were going postal in the 90s and 80s,” added another.
