India-Pak War Memes: Indians had originally planned to witness their 'second ever mock drill,' which has apparently been going on since 1971, but instead they woke up in the middle of the night to India's unexpected attacks and 'precise strikes' on Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

India launched 'Operation Sindoor,' in which its armed forces allegedly struck terrorist targets in Pakistan and POK on Wednesday, May 07, 2025.

Indians apparently started reacting with peak humor as soon as the reports of the same started to circulate online, starting a meme frenzy.  In addition, many started making clever jokes about the May 07 'mock drill,' which they claimed was a 'distraction' employed by the Indian government and army.

 

Some Pakistani users previously went viral for their self-deprecating and funny interpretations of the situation, which showed both dread and annoyance with their own government. Memes and amusing remarks, particularly from the Pakistani side, turned social media into its own battlefield.

What Is Operation Sindoor?

Operation Sindoor was initiated by the Indian military in reaction to the April 22 terrorist incident in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. According to a statement from the Union Defence Ministry, the Army struck terror bases where planned assaults against India were being held. Nine sites in all have been targeted. According to the Indian Army, 'considerable restraint' was used in the selection and execution of Operation Sindoor, meaning that no Pakistani military installations were the target of the strikes.

For those who are unaware, a shooting incident at approximately 1:30 PM on April 22 claimed the lives of 26 persons at the Baisaran meadow. According to reports, terrorists wearing camouflage fatigues carried out the attack. An affiliate of the terror group LeT, The Resistance Front (TRF), reportedly later claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam attack.
