Mumbai Couple Viral Video: What started as a regular pizza delivery turned into a shocking language-based argument in Mumbai’s Bhandup area. A delivery agent named Rohit Lavare found himself in an uncomfortable situation after a couple refused to pay him, just because he didn’t speak Marathi. As per the reports, the incident took place at the Sai Radhe building, where Rohit had gone to deliver a pizza order. But instead of a normal handover, he was told he must speak Marathi or he wouldn't get paid. In a video that quickly spread online, the couple can be heard pushing him to speak in Marathi, even as he explained he didn’t know the language.

“Zabardasti hai Marathi bolne ka? Par kyun?” he asked, clearly frustrated. The woman replied, “Hai yahan pe aise hi hai.” To which Rohit firmly responded, “Kaun bola aise hi hai?”

Despite taking a pizza order from him, the couple kept insisting him to speak Marathi. Rohit, who works with a well-known pizza brand, stood his ground and said, “Nahi aata toh phir nahi order karne ka na. Nahi dena hai na paisa, haan theek hai, theek hai.” As the argument continued, the couple then claimed that the food was spoiled and still refused to pay. The woman also told Rohit, “You’re not allowed to film me, but I can record you.” Rohit calmly yet firmly questioned this unfair behaviour, calling out the double standard.

The video has since gone viral, with many calling out the couple’s attitude and expressing support for the delivery agent. The incident has once again sparked debate about language bias and respectful treatment of service workers.

The video, after being shared, went viral on social media. Shared on X (Formerly Twitter) by the handle '@theskindoctor13,' was captioned, "A Domino’s delivery boy, Rohit Levre, was denied payment by a couple in Mumbai because he couldn’t speak Marathi. Pick on someone powerless, create an issue out of nothing, and harass them just to feel important, the trademark behaviour of petty, bigoted, arrogant, and ego-driven people."

"Since Fauj is in the news, the armed forces expect just one thing from us: to be citizens worth fighting for. Is this the kind of citizen worth a soldier’s sacrifice?" he further wrote. The video shared yesterday received 1 million views from people.

Users reacted to the viral video in the comment section. One user wrote, "I am from Maharashtra, and I am proud of our state language, Marathi. But this is not correct at all. Maybe some confusion on the payment issue and not the language issue? Let’s not start bashing Marathi & Marathi folks. Jai Hind, Jai Maharashtra." "We are fighting the enemy across the border, but the people within the country are still busy fighting on language, region, caste…pathetic," a second user wrote.

"In India, nationalism has reached a point where even a delivery boy is tested on his Marathi. If he doesn’t speak the language, the food suddenly becomes ‘unacceptable’. Bravo, India — truly great… but only in your own imagination," added a third user. "What did this couple achieve by troubling an innocent delivery boy? Why are some people so arrogant in nature?" a fourth user wrote. "Send this couple to the border, pls. Let them live there and understand what it means to be an Indian and not a brain rot caught up in some useless propaganda," added another.
