Pizza Hut in China has launched a unique meal as a part of their partnership with the well-known mobile game Dungeon & Fighter: Origins. Social media users are sharing a picture of the Pizza Hut poster for this dish. Even in a nation where the exotic meat trade is common, opinions on social media regarding the feasibility of pizza with a frog on top are divided. The new launch showed the bullfrog on top of a thick-crust pizza with a red sauce base and a bed of parsley. The frog's 'eyes' were two hard-boiled egg halves adorned with black olives.

Global food trendwatcher David Henkes posted the pizza's picture on X (formerly known as Twitter) and noted its rising appeal. "Per@Technomic Global Navigator, in proof that other countries/cultures prefer different types of proteins, Pizza Hut is offering a pizza topped with a frog for a limited time offer in China - and frog is trending, " read the caption.

Users that tried the product, however, reported that it was very different from the picture that was advertised. One of the users wrote, "Cannot decide which is worse: The frog or the grotesque 'eyeballs' above it." Another user said, "Some people truly enjoy eating frogs." The third one commented, "Celery and frogs? Is this a wicked witch's meal?"

Three select locations offer the pizza, which has a fiery, mala-flavored base, for pre-order. It is garnished with copious amounts of coriander and a whole bullfrog. The cost of the frog pizza is 169 yuan, or almost Rs 2,000.
