Pune Girl Viral Video: The ‘hunger and need’ for internet content has reached a level where far too many cases of people meeting a tragic end while trying to record themselves for content have come into the spotlight. Reminding the same yet again, another similar incident unfolded recently in Maharashtra’s Satara, where a 29-year-old woman fell into a deep gorge. The reason behind the fall had a lot to do with social media. As per reports, the woman was trying to take a selfie when she slipped into the gorge. She was later rescued by a team, a video of which was shared online and instantly went viral.
As soon as the clip began to do rounds on the internet, people were quick to call tourists out for their ‘carelessness’ and recalled the recent tragedy involving the death of an influencer who slipped into a gorge while allegedly making an Instagram reel.
Coming back to the recent case, the girl reportedly hailed from Pune and was visiting Satara’s Borne Ghat with her group of friends. As per reports, the woman was then rushed to hospital, where her condition was declared stable.
The video was shared on platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Mumbaikhabar9’. The post was captioned, “Young girl was brought to safety from a 150-foot gorge by members of Shivendra Raje rescue team at Borne Ghat in Satara. The girl slipped & fell from the clip while taking a selfie along with her group of 5 boys and 3 girls.
