Travel Influencer Aanvi Kamdar Dies: What was supposed to be yet another travel reel showcasing nature's beauty, instead turned into an incident that gave a glimpse of nature’s wrath, as a young travel influencer lost her life after falling into a 300-feat-gorge while making a reel in Maharashtra. The 27-year-old influencer, Aanvi Kamdar, was a chartered accountant, who was also popular for her travel vlogs and her love for seeing the world. However, the incident surely left her family and fans in shock. Kamdar was reportedly out for a trip to the ever-famous Kumbhe Waterfall in Raigad, on July 16, when she slipped and fell.

The influencer was also accompanied by seven of her friends for the trip, who were reportedly the ones to alert the authorities about the accident. As soon as the police were informed, the authorities sprung to action. Along with the rescue team, the ‘Coast Guard, Kolad rescue team, and Maharashtra State Electricity Board staff’, also aided the rescue mission, as per reports by NDTV.

Heavy rain and falling stones only made her rescue difficult, due to which, the rescuers decided to go for a ‘vertical pulley’, as per reports.

The poor victim was reportedly rescued after a six-hour operation, after which she was rushed to the Mangaon Taluka Government Hospital. However, Kamdar eventually succumbed to her injuries during her treatment.

As soon as the news of the influncer’s demise broke on social media, her fans took to the internet to express their grief.

“Travel influencer @AanviKamdar died after falling into a 300-foot gorge while shooting a reel at Kumbhe waterfall near Maharashtra's Raigad. Every year we hear such tragic stories during monsoon, still people risk their lives for social media validation,” a user said.

“There is so much more in life beyond Reels and Video; people, especially influencers go to extreme extent for likes & RTs! RIP @AanviKamdar,” added a second person.
