Republic Day 2024: The Republic Of India turned 75 today, January 26, and the proud tricolour, waving high on every street, is what everyone can talk about for all the obvious reasons. From roofs, poles, and trees to fences, shops, and benches, everything in India today is ‘dressed’ in shades of orange, white, and green. The internet as well, is no different, as netizens left no platform un-greeted with their excited reactions and Republic Day wishes. It's like patriotism became the day’s motto and Indians are more than happy to fulfil that ‘Bhartiya’ dictum.  

Taking to the internet, people shared their greetings and wishes for the 75th Republic Day. Most expressed their pride over the country’s Constitution and the nation's Constitutional journey so far. Some went back in time and recalled their old school days and all the celebrations that were celebrated in educational institutions. Some also shared about the Republic Day Parade and dubbed it a ‘sight of strength’. Videos and photos related to the same also flooded the internet. 

“The all-women Tri-Services contingent comprising Agniveers and regular recruits proudly marches down the Kartavya Path on #RepublicDay2024. This is the first time an all Tri-Services women soldiers contingent is marching on Kartavya Path,” a user said. 

“I am 20 but this type of things cant be forgotten. Always proud that we live in a country where #RepublicDay2024 is celebrated in schools like festivals and always had been part of them,” said a second person. 

“Happy Republic Day  folks! The pride of pinning the Tiranga always to our hearts. Nation First. With the Braves. Jai Hind!” said a third person. 

“Happy Republic Day. May the flag always wave high, symbolizing the strength, courage, and unity of our great nation!  Jai Hind!” commented the fourth user. 

“Happy 75th Republic Day to All. Nation always comes first. Let's take it to great heights. I am Proud to be an Indian. Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!” commented next. 

“Happy Republic Day. May the flag always wave high, symbolizing the strength, courage, and unity of our great nation!  Jai Hind!” said another.

Apart from celebrating the big day in their houses and on the internet, a majority of people also thronged National Capital’s Kartavya Path to get a glimpse of the 75th Republic Day Parade. The event was attended by President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron graced the occasion as the event’s chief guest.
