Not sure about other lions, but Indian lions are on a diffrent level currently, at least as per the desis. Basically, the mighty lion was always the ‘Jungle King’ for several reasons, but in the past few days, the big cat has also started taking over the internet in India. Confused? Let us begin from the beginning. If you are scrolling X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, then you might be coming across the now popularly increasing ‘sher’ memes. Sher, a Hindi term, means a lion. The trend began after people started to connect a lion’s day-to-day life with humans and their basic lifestyle. From the sher ‘wasting its time on scrolling reels’ to the big cat ‘losing its hair as part of aging’, social media has left no ‘thread’ unconnected in tying humans and lions together.
Taking to the comment section, people shared their views and reacted to the hilarious ongoing ‘Sher’ meme fest. Most people loved the way the big cat was tied to basic human shenanigans, while others found the memes hilarious. Some people also used cats for the same memes and described them as ‘sher’ too, which was equally hilarious and adorable.
“Sher ka villain arc (lion’s villain arc),” added a user.

“Aaj sher push up maar raha hai, sherni ka dil bhi toh jitna hai. (Today the lion is doing push ups, to win the lioness’ heart),” a second user said.
