Sidhi Urination Case: The heartfelt ‘apologetic gesture’ by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan continued towards victim Dashmat Rawat as Chouhan dinned with the victim at the CM House in Bhopal on Thursday, July 6. With garland on his neck, Rawat was seen having a ‘touching’ time with the CM during their lunch.

In his efforts to make Rawat more comfortable and assured, the CM was also seen asking the victim to “open up”to him in case he needed more help. The viral video that is winning the hearts of netizens, was shared by news agency ANI on their Twitter handle.

Earlier, in another viral video that was also doing rounds on the social media, the CM was seen washing the feet of the victim as an apology. Calling people as his “Gods”, the CM expressed his distress over the incident and said, “I was pained to see that video. I apologise to you. People are like a God to me.”

The apology was over the shocking incident that took place in MP’s Sidhi district, where a man in an inebriated state was seen urinating on a tribal labourer. The video of the incident went viral on the social media on Tuesday, July 04.

However, the video soon came into the notice of CM Chouhan who also took to his social media and tweeted, “A viral video of Sidhi district has come to my notice…I have instructed the administration to arrest the culprit and take strict action and also impose NSA.”

Immediately rushing into action on the instruction given by the CM, the accused was then booked under the National Security Act (NSA) and is currently lodged in Rewa Central Jail. The gesture was an addition to another action that was taken with aim to deliver justice against the accused, who has been identified as Pravesh Shukla. The state administration also bulldozed Shukla’s residence in the district.
