- Shivraj Singh Chouhan slammed MP officials over tribal home demolition.
- Questioned targeting BJP voters in Sehore's Kosmi village.
- Called it a conspiracy to malign party and CM Mohan Yadav.
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday lashed out at the government officials in what was seen as a confrontation with the Madhya Pradesh government over the demolition of homes of the tribal communities in a village in Sehore.
Expressing resentment over the action, he asked why people who voted for the BJP in both the Lok Sabha and the MP Assembly elections were being targeted. The action was taken by the state forest department to allegedly remove the encroachment.
Chouhan, a four-time Madhya Pradesh CM, said it was because of their votes that Mohan Yadav became the CM. He said, "This is a conspiracy by some officials to malign the party. We win because of their votes, and Mohan ji became chief minister because of their votes. This is truly very painful for me."
As per reports, at least 12 families were affected by the action in Kosmi village of Budhni. Notably, Chouhan was held by Chouhan for several years. While venting out against his own party's government, Shivraj sought to walk on a tightrope, refraining from direct criticism of the chief minister. Chouhan said that he would raise the issue with CM Yadav.

"I will tell the chief minister about this injustice, their sobs, the tears in their eyes, their crushed fields and their ruined future. This seems to me to be a conspiracy to malign the chief minister as well," he said.
"Their dreams have been crushed, their hard work destroyed, and they have been rendered homeless," the Union Agriculture Minister added, accusing Forest Department officials of the "height of oppression and injustice".
"The limits of oppression and injustice have been crossed in my constituency," Chouhan said. "Homes where the joyful sounds of children echoed until the morning are now filled with their screams. Women are weeping and beating their chests in grief," he said.
