Students Resort To Kicks And Punches To Get Hold Of The 'Last Bench'; Viral Video Leaves Internet Nostalgic

Viral Video: The last bench in schools and colleges was surely no less than a throne. Students had their moments on these benches. From eating lunch during class to endless gossip and jokes during lectures, the last seat saw it all. So when a video of some students fighting for the last bench went viral, netizens were more than happy to call the brawl ‘justified’. The video showed a bunch of students punching and kicking each other, on the last bench of their class. As per the viral post, the issue was to reclaim the ‘throne’, or the back bench (same thing). The clip, ever since it was shared, has been doing rounds on the internet. 

The video was shared on the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Arhant Shelby’. It was then re-shared by the handle ‘Ghar ke kalesh’, with the caption, “Kalesh b/w Two school boys inside class over sitting on the Last bench.”

The video, soon after getting shared, went viral and left people commenting on it. Most felt nostalgic as they recalled their own school days and petty fights over nonsense issues, while the others called the fight ‘valid’ as they further expressed their love for back benches. Many also called the fight ‘common’ for schools and colleges. The post was shared yesterday and pulled 30K views from netizens.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “I love the last bench too,” a user said. “Backbench ke liye kitna competition hai aaj kal (there is so much competition for backbench these days),” commented a second user. “All these kids want to do these days is fight. If it was us, we would have instead sat on their friends. It would have been funny and obviously nonviolent,” said the third person.

“To prove they are the last benchers they came up with this for the last bench. Woahhh great !!! Using 100% brain,” commented a fourth user. “I am pretty sure this must be because of some girl, try finding more details on the matter,” said another.

“This is all that happens in schools these days. Nothing is surprising to watch here,” added the next. “There is surely a different charm about the last bench,” said another.
