While many travelers chose Nepal, Ladakh or Himachal to witness mountains covered with snow, locals of Madhubani got an unexpected treat with stunning Himalayan views from their home. The viral video shows clear snow-covered mountains in all their glory. The crystal-clear view was made possible due to recent rainfall, which cleared the skies and reduced pollution.
The post shared on X, by the user @Satyamraj_in, wrote, “View of the majestic Himalayas as seen from Jainagar, Madhubani, Bihar.” The video quickly captured the imagination of netizens, racking up over a million views and countless reactions.

"As this post is blown out, create a few top-notch homestays, let people from all of India enjoy that view," a user wrote. "Wow, thanks for sharing! Had no idea you could see the Himalayas from Bihar? This is the terai region, right? Jainagar is on my itinerary. Thanks," a second user wrote. "If such a place existed in any other state, it would have been proudly marketed and developed as the 'Everest View Point', attracting resorts, tourists, and commercial activities all around. Just imagine the excitement of witnessing Mt Everest from Bihar, India," wrote a third user.
"They got such a View and look at the place, it could have been a major tourist spot with some High viewpoints and hotels," added a fourth user. "I spent a year in 1991 in a remote border area in Bihar when my father got his first posting. This was almost every morning we woke up. We did not have any camera, only faint memories now," added another user.
"I witnessed this phenomenal scene 25 years ago from Ladania, Bihar, right on the border with Nepal. The Himalayas are regularly visible from these areas, especially after a heavy rainfall, when the skies get clearer," another user wrote. "Himalayas are truly god's gift to our nation. Imagine you go to the terrace of a random house in a random village and witness this," wrote another person.
