Tamil Nadu Fan Viral Video: The craze for Rishab Shetty’s 'Kantara: Chapter 1' has taken over theatres across the country and fans just can’t keep calm. As audiences rush to watch the much-awaited prequel to the 2022 blockbuster, one die-hard fan in Tamil Nadu has taken center stage with his dramatic tribute inside a cinema hall. In the viral video, the man can be seen recreating one of the most intense scenes from the movie, leaving everyone around stunned.

Dressed in a yellow kurta and dhoti, with a beard just like Rishab Shetty’s look in the film, he began twirling and shouting to mimic the possession sequence where Rishab’s character gets possessed by Guliga, the divine spirit central to the story. Onlookers quickly pulled out their phones to record the jaw-dropping act.

Starring Rishab Shetty, Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, Jayaram and Rakesh Poojari, the film is both written and directed by Rishab Shetty and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films. Released on October 2, the film has already stormed the box office, earning an impressive Rs 162.85 crore in just three days, proving that the Kantara magic is stronger than ever.

Watch The Viral Video:

The video, shared on X (Formerly Twitter) by the handle '@sanatan_kannada' yesterday, pulled more than 400k views from users. Fans online couldn’t stop talking about him, while many called it a mockery of faith, and others called it disrespectful.

"This is totally disrespectful. Not done. Some respect should be given to the daivas. There is a procedure and rituals for performing this. Not done at all," a user wrote. "The divine feeling that Rishab gave has been easily spoiled by such an act. This is why Sanathan is getting attacked. The cinema theater is not a place for such an act. We should protect our culture at the right place," a second user wrote.

"This is nothing but a mockery of our culture, brilliant, guys. At least our culture has reached this level now. That idiot seriously knows what that even means? Who gave them the authority to do this? And under what circumstances? Without even understanding the background," wrote a third user angrily. "This is not a divine moment… this is just a mockery of our culture…. It shouldn’t be encouraged at all," added a fourth user.
