Gurugram Viral Video: Gurugram turned into a waterlogged city on Tuesday as heavy rains brought daily life to a standstill. Roads were submerged, traffic was at a complete halt and commuters were left struggling to find a way home. In the middle of the chaos, a video went viral showing a group of corporate employees taking an unusual but clever route. With Ola, Uber, and Rapido either unavailable or charging huge surge prices, they decided to book a Porter mini truck. The clip shows them, dressed in formal office attire, riding in the back as the vehicle slowly made its way through flooded streets.
Many others shared their own struggles on social media. Some had no choice but to book hotel rooms to escape the traffic, while others reported being stuck for hours with no transport available. Gurgaon Police confirmed that more than 100 mm of rain fell between 3 pm and 7 pm on Tuesday. Officials advised companies to let employees work from home and suggested schools switch to online classes to avoid disruption.

Bunch of young corporates in Gurugram hired a mini truck to take them home! Not the safest option but at a time Uber/Ola/Rapido were not available (or too expensive) Someone commented ‘corporate mazdoors’ 🥲

"The citizens of this country work hard; it doesn’t matter if they pay tax directly or indirectly. Everyone pays their dues in some form or the other & look at the state of this country. Unbelievable,' wrote one user. "And most of them are paying 30% tax," a second user added.
"It's time Ola/Uber/Rapido etc, include motor boat services or cable car services in their itinerary, maybe take it as a business proposition, think about it folks....we are waiting," wrote a third user. "But if we see from a different perspective person who got this idea is a genius. If the Final goal is to reach home, then what mode we choose is not very important," added a fourth user.
"This service is better than failed public transport and waterlogged roads. It is a city of corporate majdoor. Needs to be renamed," a fifth user added. "Deliberately political casteist, communal and selfish assholes deserve this," added another user.
