Viral Video: In the last few weeks, the cases related to public thrashing have skyrocketed in several parts of the country. However, despite them being a crime, most people are coming in support of these particular cases. Wondering ‘why’? Well, most of these cases were against accused molesters and harassers, who ended up getting brutally beaten up by the public once they were exposed. Adding another incident to the list, a man from Uttar Pradesh's Etah was ruthlessly thrashed with slippers by the public, as he was accused of allegedly molesting a girl. Taking the matter into their own hand, the crowd was quick in delivering ‘justice’. A video of the same was shared on social media, which went viral and left people 'satisfied’.

The exact date of the incident could not be confirmed. The video, after getting shared, went viral and left people reacting. Most people supported the public thrashing over harassment allegations, while the rest demanded the involvement of people after the crowd was done.

As the video went viral, the UP police also responded to the matter and updated that a case has been registered, whereas an investigation is underway.

The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Jhagdaa’. The post was captioned, “The young man was beaten up badly for molesting a girl! Incident- Etah, Uttar Pradesh!”

“On the basis of the complaint received in connection with the matter, a case has been registered at the Dehat Kotwali police station and necessary legal action is being taken,” read the response by the police.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “If people intervene or start stepping in Seeing something Suspicious or any Wrong Activity, then the girls won't have to feel weak or find themselves alone against such Cheap characters,” a user said. “well what you do is what you reap,” added a second person.

“After providing first aid, the patient should be referred for further treatment!!!! I like how people are coming forward to punish such perverts. This is a much-needed thing in this country because the government is hardly doing anything,” added a third person. “Make sure to give him a good touch so he'll even think twice about getting near to his future wife,” added a fourth person.
