UP Mass Wedding Viral Video: What was supposed to be a joyful wedding celebration in Uttar Pradesh suddenly turned into a scene of panic that shocked everyone watching. A government-organised mass wedding in Hamirpur ended in confusion when a huge crowd rushed towards the free snack counters, leading to chaos. The wedding event was held under the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme at the sports ground of Brahmanand Mahavidyalaya in Rath on Tuesday, November 25. Around 383 underprivileged couples got married on the same day.
Everything went smoothly until the wedding rituals ended. Trouble began the moment snacks were brought out. As soon as packets of chips were placed on the counters, people ran towards them from all directions. Videos that later went viral on social media showed a shocking scene. Men, women, children, and even elderly people were seen pushing, grabbing, and snatching chips from one another.
Many tried to take more than one packet, while others fell to the ground as the crowd went out of control. The situation reportedly became so intense that several people were hurt in the rush.

After the video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the handle '@SachinGuptaUP', users reacted with anger, disbelief, and sadness. What was meant to be a respectful celebration for hundreds of couples quickly turned into an example of poor crowd control and planning.
One user wrote, "Tabhi toh freebee culture itna success hai India me, bhikariyo ki tarah kuch bheekh mil jaaye bas life settle inki, aur koi issue hai he nahi in jaiso ke liye." "There won't have been proper arrangements made for the distribution of food and snacks. At the venue, there weren't even enough security personnel present to manage the arrangements. Everyone must have felt that way?" a second user wrote.

That's exactly what is lacking with the Indian economy," added a fourth user. "This country can never ever have any civic sense," added another user.
