Viral Video: Uttar Pradesh’s law enforcement found itself on the answering dock yet again as netizens lost their cool after a questionable incident was shared on social media. Tagging authorities on an internet post related to the same, a netizen shared a video of some men blocking the road and causing a traffic jam with their car parked on the street. As per the post, the men stopped the vehicle on the road to allegedly drink alcohol, which left the internet furious as netizens began to demand action against the miscreants. The exact location and the date of the matter could not be confirmed.
As soon as the video went viral, most people began to demand stricter rules and punishments for such culprits. The UP Police also responded to the video and asked the Pratapgarh Police to take action. However, the response did not sit well with people as they mocked the police for merely ‘tagging others’ and ‘not taking action’.
The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Prateek34381357’. The post was captioned, “Gundgardi. @Uppolice please take action on this. They blocked the road to drink beer and abused many drivers. #upplice @pratapgarhpol UP70DD0848.” The video was shared yesterday and pulled 34K views from people.

“Kindly look into it,” read the response by the UP Police.

The video, after getting shared, went viral in an instant. Most people dubbed such instances common and blamed the authorities for the same, while the rest tagged the UP Police in the comment section and demanded action.
Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “@myogiadityanath @myogioffice the @Uppolice is playing tag team instead of action,” a user said. “Did any action was taken in this man? @Uppolice @pratapgarhpol ????” asked a second person. “Such incidents of Gunda gardi on roads have become so common across the nation and it is shocking that there is no concrete step taken by the administration,” added another.
“Blocking of roads is Very Common in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India by Politicians, Bureaucrats, Judges and Criminals. Police often protect them. Don't expect them to act against them. See it happening 100s of times every day. @myogiadityanath @CMOfficeUP,” commented another netizen.
