UP Viral Video: There used to be a time when professions like teaching, medicine, and such were seen in a different light altogether. The respect was surely on another level especially for teachers, keeping in mind the importance of 'gurus’ in Hindu epics and such. However, in the last few years, questionable instances have only ruined the reputation of such honorable fields. Adding another incident to the list, a disturbing matter came to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Hamirpur. A video was shared on social media, where a ‘Government’ teacher was seen getting brutally beaten up with slippers by a girl and her family. Turned out, the violence was triggered over the teacher allegedly sending ‘obscene’ texts to one of his class 9th female students. The exact date of the matter could not be confirmed.
The UP video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘biosagain’. The post was captioned, “In Hamirpur district Uttar Pradesh, a government school teacher Mukesh Chaurasia used to send obscene messages to a class 9 student. The student and her family beat the teacher with slippers. An FIR was filed against the teacher.” The video was shared fourdays ago and pulled more than 6K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Sack him from his job immediately,” a user said. “This is so disturbing. The man is supposed to be a teacher. What is he even doing? I hope he gets fired immediately and his degree and everything should be in question,” commented a second person.
“These steps should be taken to take out him of his job,” added a third person. “If only I dared to tell people about that one teacher when I was in school,” recalled another. “Give him to the boys he teaches and tell them nothing will happen to them and they can beat him as much as they want,” added another.
