UP Viral Video: Uttar Pradesh’s law and order and women’s safety and security are back under the scanner as another troubling incident unfolded in broad daylight in the state's capital, Lucknow. A woman- reportedly an inspector’s daughter- was on her way to her daughter’s school, when some biker miscreants snatched her purse from her. The threat to safety did not end with snatching, as the victim was also dragged on the road for a few seconds before the bikes managed to drive away. The incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed nearby. The incident, as per the CCTV footage, took place on November 29.
As per the police, a case was filed over the matter, whereas an investigation is underway. The police assured swift justice.
The video ended up receiving many reactions after it was shared. Most people questioned the state’s law and order situation, while the rest were more concerned with the woman’s well-being and safety, as she was brutally dragged on the road.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Even a policeman's child is not safe, and they claim to establish safety,” a user said. “In this same Uttar Pradesh, it is claimed that everything is safe here even at 12:00 in the night,” commented a third person. “She was dragged! Is she okay?” added a third person.
“Omg…more than the purse, glad that she is fine. The way she fell, had she bumped her head on the road it could have been fatal. Either the law enforcement doesn’t have enough bandwidth to tackle such cases or they don’t just care,” added a fourth user. “@lkopolice @adgzonelucknow @Igrangelucknow Please look into this and take strict action against them,” added another.
