US Vlogger Viral Video: Under a dim streetlight, a young woman typing away on her laptop caught a foreign vlogger’s attention and what happened next has sparked a massive debate on India’s work culture. The short, late-night interaction has gone viral, once again raising questions about how far professionals in India push themselves for work. In the viral video, American vlogger @jaystreazy walks up to the woman, who’s seated outdoors with her laptop. “Excuse me, ma’am. I’m curious. Are you working right now?” he asks. She nods and says, “Yeah.” When Jay asks if he can talk to her for a bit, she replies calmly, “You can ask.”
She introduces herself, saying, “My name is Princy.” Jay responds, “Princy. It’s nice to meet you. You don’t have to tell me what company, but what type of work do you do?” She answers, “I work for a pharmaceutical company.” As the conversation goes on, Jay checks the time and asks if working this late is normal for her. “It’s usual for me,” she says. Shocked, Jay remarks, “I see a lot of people working so hard out here and it’s kind of new to me.” To that, Princy smiles and says, “You are also working now.”
Jay laughs and replies, “It’s not really work. It’s more of a hobby. One day, I hope that, you know, it pops off.” The vlogger later shared the clip online with the caption, “Late-Night Work in India.” Within hours, the video blew up across social media, reigniting heated discussions about India’s tough work culture, long hours and the blurred boundaries between life and work.
