Varanasi Locals Perform Aarti Of Putin Photo: Varanasi is buzzing with unusual sights as India prepares to host Russian President Vladimir Putin for a two-day visit starting Thursday evening. People in Varanasi are giving the Russian President a grand spiritual welcome and it’s melting hearts online. In amazing videos, locals are lighting lamps and doing a full aarti, but this time in front of a big photo of Putin. Women are singing beautiful bhajans, men are waving Indian flags with pride, and everyone looks super happy.

In another striking clip, a large banner reads "Bharat-Russia friendship zindabaad," alongside images of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Putin shaking hands. After the ritual, people march through the streets, chanting slogans supporting both leaders, creating a scene that has caught many by surprise. Putin is scheduled to land in New Delhi on Thursday afternoon to attend the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit.

The video has already gathered over 236K views and sparked reactions from netizens who found the visuals unusual and intriguing. But right now, Varanasi has already rolled out the warmest welcome anyone could imagine.

"This is what happens when the WhatsApp university syllabus adds 'International Relations' taught by Forward Mausi," a user wrote. "It's normal to welcome guests by performing arti in Indian households, maybe not much in mega cities," a second user wrote. "This whole thing seems crafted for the cameras and to initiate some sort of debate within political parties," wrote a third user.
