Social media is full of videos that often leave netizens questioning the ‘number of lives' one thinks they have. Such videos mostly involve a major threat to the safety of the people being recorded. Exemplifying the same, a video of some kids sitting on the edge of a dam drain went viral on social media. The clip left the netizens concerned as they pointed out the risk of not being careful at such places. A dam drain is a massive pipe that is built in a dam to avoid the reservoir from overflowing. The drain acts as a drainage where the excess water falls after the water level crosses a certain mark. The drain is usually deep and opens at the other end of the dam.

The video was shared on social media site X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘CCTV IDIOTS’. The post was captioned, “A group of kids stand inches before a dam drain in Águas Vermelhas, Minas Gerais, Brazil.”

In the video, a group of kids was seen enjoying near the edge of a dam drain. Sitting on the edge, the video looked scary as one of them even walked on the edge to reach the other side. The end of the drain was not visible, while the water in the dam was seen falling into it.

The post went viral and most of the people found it scary. Many pointed out the possibility of a horrible accident, while others stressed the importance of safety near such places. The video has received 357.6K views so far.

Taking to the comment section, the netizens expressed their views. “How deep would that be?” a curious netizen asked. “Imma jump in and tell you guys what’s on the other side,” said a second person. “Those kids have extra live in the safe box back home,” added a third user. “I wonder how many bodies are at the bottom,” joined a fourth person. “They playin with fire,” wrote a fifth. “Was just waiting for one of them to jump in,” commented a sixth person. “What is the need to risk your life .Life is only one, enjoy living,” said a seventh. “It’s this world, and the next…. And you’re on the edge,” added another.
