The entire internet was left awestruck after Sultan AlNeyadi, an astronaut from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), shared breathtaking pictures of the great Himalayas clicked from space. AlNeyadi is currently on the International Space Station (ISS), completing a six-month mission. The post went viral as the netizens were smitten by the beauty of the snow-covered mountains.

The astronaut shared the mesmerising picture on his official Instagram handle. The post was captioned, “The Himalayas from space. Home to the Everest summit, the highest point above sea level on earth, these mountains are one of the iconic landmarks of our planet's rich nature.”

The post had two images of the giant mountains. The land around the mountains appeared to be deep blue in colour, giving it the illusion of being a massive body of water. The scenic beauty was partially covered with clouds, further enhancing the beauty of the pictures.

The post soon gained attention as it pulled 63.4K views from netizens since August 12.
