Viral Video: In the past few days, the reptiles of Maharashtra have gained quite a popularity on social media. Just a few days ago, a massive python was reduced from an apartment’s window, and now the Mumbaikers were left terrified after the authorities rescued another deadly reptile from an unusual place. A 2-foot-long baby crocodile was spotted chilling in a public pool in Mumbai. The incident took place yesterday, October 03, when a crocodile was seen swimming in an Olympic-sized swimming pool in the Shivaji Park area’s Mahatma Gandhi Swimming Pool. A video of the same surfaced online and instantly became viral on the internet. As soon as the incident took place, the authorities were quick to take action as the reptile was rescued from the pool. The rescue mission reportedly ended up injuring the pool staff member who took out the crocodile. The concerned person was later rushed to the hospital for treatment, according to the reports. 

The reptile has been handed over to the Forest Department, while an investigation is going on in the matter. According to the reports, the pool is inspected every day in the morning, before swimmers start their session, that is when the baby crocodile was spotted, at around 5:30 AM. 

The video was shared on the social media site X (formerly Twitter) by the user ‘SadvilkarKomal’. The post was captioned, “Watch | A 2-ft #crocodile was found in BMC run-Dadar swimming pool in #Mumbai The pool manager said that the filter operator was bitten by the crocodile and was taken to Sion Hospital. More details awaited."

In the video, a tiny crocodile was seen taking a swim at the bottom of a public swimming pool. The cameraperson was out of the pool as the clip was being recorded from a distance.

The video instantly went viral and left the netizens terrified. Most people chastised and blamed the pool staff for the negligence, while others expressed their concerns and took a sign of relief that the deadly reptile was taken out of the swimming pool.
