Viral Video: In the last few years, the alarming number of incidents related to pickpockets in public places and transport have left people concerned. Social media also turned into a ‘logbook’ of sorts for cases as ample videos of either people stealing or getting caught were shared online. Adding more, another incident came forward, where a student was seen beating up a man allegedly for trying to steal his phone. From brutal punches and slaps to threats and other abuse, the student did not shy away from ‘teaching a lesson’ in his own way to the accused. A video of the same was shared on the internet, which went viral. As per the clip, the incident took place in Delhi’s Moti Nagar area, but the date could not be confirmed.

The video, after getting shared, began to do rounds on social media. Most people found the incident funny and joked about the student playing for the next Olympics, while the rest dubbed the punches ‘justified’. Many also highlight the increasing number of pickpockets.

The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Ghar ke kaleesh’. The post was captioned, “Kalesh b/w a School Student and a Thief (The guy in Black t-shirt was got caught stealing a phone from that student pocket) Moti Nagar, Delhi.”
