Viral Video: Apart from when they are chasing you in anger, every other elephant-related video on social media is usually a treat to the eye and an even sweeter treat to the heart. From baby elephants discovering their trunks to adult ones protecting or saving little babies of no matter what creature, elephant videos are one of those that can rarely disappoint. Joining the ‘herd’, a new clip recently surfaced online, where the giant one was seen rubbing its eye using the ‘mighty’ trunk. Now, it might be normal for humans, but the elephant doing the same thing turned out to be a million times more adorable. The video went viral, as it won many on social media.  

The video was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘buitengebieden’. The post was captioned, “How an elephant rubs its eye.”

The video ended up melting countless hearts and went viral. Most loved the adorable animal and the gesture that made it look more like a character from a Disney film, while others lauded elephants’ intelligence and shenanigans in general. The post was shared two days ago and has been viewed over 4M times.
