Viral Video: The whole concept of ‘law’ is that it’s equal for all. And for people working to maintain that very ‘law’, it is further important to keep the same in mind. However, this cop in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad ended up on the wrong side of the public, after he seemingly forgot about the same. A video of the said cop was shared on social media, where he was accused by the public of issuing a challan while he himself had no helmet while riding his bike. He also had a woman officer sitting on the back of the bike, who also allegedly had no helmet. Reminding the same to the cop, passerby began to question the challan he issued to others.

However, the incident only turned ugly as the officer refused to answer or even take any action, which seemingly triggered people around him. The date of the incident could not be confirmed.

The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Nishantjournali’. The post was captioned, “Ghaziabad Commissionerate Police of Uttar Pradesh has its own law...! This is the inspector posted in Loni Police Station, who issued a challan to a young man for negligence. When the young man saw that the inspector had no helmet, he asked the cop to challan himself too. The video is going viral on social media.” The video was shared yesterday and pulled 628K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Honorable Director General of Police
Sir, are they setting an ideal example for the public? Because of such policemen, the image of the police gets spoiled among the public. If you can find even a little decency in his language, then look for it, but we are not able to see it. We can only see his open challenge to the public,” a user said.

“@ghaziabadpolice @dgpup Kindly look into this case. UP police must set an example. if they behave unethically who will trust them? Action required” added a second person. “Why does this video have only 4000 views?” asked another. “For public one rule and for police no rule?” added another.
