Viral Video: The popular potato chips company, Lays, has always been one of the most preferred snacks in India. From being a beloved ‘party snack’ to being the first choice during a binge-watch, these chips have been a major part of Indians’ lives for years. However, despite their taste and a variety of flavours, the company does hold a questionable image when it comes to quantity. And everything went further down the drain when a video of a man finding just two potato chips inside a Lays packet went viral on the internet. The video left people with a whole lot of reactions and responses.
The video was shared on the social media site X (formerly Twitter) ‘Divyans60201407’. The post was captioned, “Dear @Lays_India @PepsiCoIndia , today's snack session took an unexpected turn. Purchased a 5 rupee classic salted pack with hopeful anticipation, only to unveil a mere TWO chips inside. Is this the new standard? As a loyal customer, this falls short of expectations.”

The video, ever since it was shared, is going viral on the internet. Most people found the incident troublesome and complained about the company and their image over the matter, while a few found it funny. Many also called it ‘not surprising’. The post was shared a few days back and pulled 38K views from netizens.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “This is just careless. They already have a ‘just air’ image, and now with this, it's just carelessness,” a user said. “This is beyond disappointment. This man still did something- took the matter to the internet, but not everyone could have done that. In fact, so many would have been helpless,” said the second user. “This is funny and infuriating at the same time,” commented a third.
“Is this a joke? This is too much. There are next to no chips in that packet,” said a fourth. “I am somehow surprised and not surprised at the same time,” joined a fifth.
