Cyclone Michaung Chennai: If ‘Aapda me avsar (opportunity in disaster)’ had a face, this man would be it. On one hand, the entire city of Chennai went through all kinds of hurdles- disrupted internet, casualties, heavy rainfall, and submerged streets- but this man in particular, on the other hand, had some other plans. A man in Chennai's submerged streets was seen catching a fish, the video of which was shared on social media. Donning a raincoat, the said person was seen jumping behind the fish to catch it, as it struggled for its freedom. The video immediately went viral and left people speechless. 

The video was shared on the social media site X (formerly Twitter) by the handle ‘Rainmaker1973’. The post was captioned, “Chennai is facing intense floods due to heavy rain caused by cyclone Michaung. Here's a clip of a man catching a fish in the middle of the road.”

The video, ever since it was shared, has gone insanely viral on the internet. Most people loved the man’s spirit for finding the most in such a troubling situation, while others expressed concerns over the flood. Many also found the clip hilarious and joked about the incident. The video was shared yesterday and pulled a whopping 6 million views.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “He kicked a fish out of the water!” a user said. “This is a guy who is making the most of his situation. Finding happiness in such situations,” lauded a fourth netizen. “

“That's quite the sight! Nature always finds a way to surprise us, even in unexpected places,” added a fifth. “That must be one hell of a flood for fishes to be swept onto the streets,” added next.
