Viral Video: Travelling in public transport without tickets might be a crime in the rest of the world, but for India, it has become an ‘everyday thing’ despite being illegal. In fact, it seemingly has reached a point where even authorities are hopping in on the ‘crime’. Or so it seemed based on a clip going viral, as per which two cops were caught travelling in a train's 2nd AC coach allegedly without tickets. Rushing into action, the other passengers began to record the cops along with confronting them, only to receive threats. In the video, the cops were also being asked about their ‘train pass’, to which they hardly had a solid answer. The date and the exact location of the matter could not be confirmed.

The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Ghar ke kalesh’. The post was captioned, “Kalesh over Police travelling without ticket inside Indian railways 2nd ac coach.”

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “It's not about train traveling. They used to travel via bus and auto without tickets and didn't pay any penny just because they were Police. At least they should think about they are an example for other ppl. People are inspired by them,” a user said.

“You are totally wrong if you are travelling without a ticket and moreover you are threatening the passengers,” added a second person. “Police are for our protection and lol they’re themselves threatening the passengers,” added a third person. “I complained regarding the same case a year back, the guy was a Sub Inspector (two-star). Had he not been in Uniform I would have thrown him out from the coach. After I posted in X, I received a phone call and he moved from the 2nd tier to a different coach,” recalled another.
