Viral Video: Nonpayment of rent is not exactly an ideal situation for a landlord, no matter at which corner of the world. However, a landlord reportedly in Gujarat's Surat went overboard as he chose brutal violence to confront a young girl who allegedly had not paid her rent in the last two months. Holding her collar, the man was seen ruthlessly beating her up, whereas the girl continued to cry and pleaded to let go. The tenant's friend was also heard urging the man to let go whereas she also continued to record a video of the incident. It seemed like the girls were also asked to leave the house, as the victim had a trolley bag with her.
The date of the incident could not be confirmed, meanwhile, the said clip went viral. The video, after being shared, began to draw reactions from the internet. Most were shocked over the violent way in which the man handled the girl and assaulted her, while the rest sided with the landlord and called the scuffle a result of the girl not paying her rent.
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘dave_janak’. The post was captioned, “The problem of rent led to a scuffle. The landlord beat the girl. Photos of a scuffle with a Mumbai girl associated with event management go viral. Girl accused of not paying rent for two months.” The video was shared yesterday and pulled more than 8K views from people.

Shame on all” commented a sixth user. “Can someone connect me with the tenant..? I am willing to pay 1 month's rent for her,” added another.
