Viral Video: One of the worst things that a zoo keeper can do is throw the basic rule out for a toss and wait to face the consequences. With the basic rule being ‘not making eye contact with an animal’, a zoo keeper did exactly that with a lion, while standing beside the giant cat, inside its cage. Yes, the number of risks this man took was enough to make him a prime example of the ‘what not to do in a zoo 101’ guidebook. As the man made eye contact with the lion, the feline was quick to assert its dominance on its ‘possible new threat’ and jumped on the staff member. As soon as the lion attacked the man, another zoo staff member present at the spot tried to intervene but to no avail. Mere seconds after the attack, an unexpected savior turned up for the rescue and left everyone impressed. With the sole intention of keeping the lion away, the lioness turned up on the spot to calm the lion down, and surprisingly, the female big cat effortlessly led the lion away from the human. 

The video was posted on the Instagram handle ‘natureinclips’. The post was captioned, “A zookeeper who made the serious mistake of making direct eye contact with a male lion found himself being saved by an unlikely savior after being attacked in a heart-stopping incident.”

The incident cracked up many despite being dangerous, making the video go viral. Most joked about the lioness calming down the lion and scolding it over ‘embarrassment’, while others hailed the female big cat for its quick thinking and smartness towards the friendly zoo staff. Some expressed their concerns over such jobs and the risks involved and others commended the bravery shown by the other staff member who tried to manhandle the lion during the attack. The video was shared a few hours ago and pulled 127K views.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take on the incident. “Here we have the latest episode of f**k around and find out,” a user said. “The lioness be like- baby baby he's just a friend. this is not you. look me in the eyes,” added another. “His girlfriend be like: oh sry he's a little possessive,” commented a third person. “Subtle show of dominance, not attack,” joined a fourth user. “Lion like- you think I'm fake, let me show you I'm real,” added a fifth person. “She’s just tired of her man picking fights wherever they are,” added a sixth person. “She like- not again, why are you embarrassing us,” added another.
