Apart from a magnificent win at the World Cup 2023 against South Africa yesterday, November 05, the entire country and the Indian national cricket team also celebrated ace player Viral Kohli's 49th ODI hundred. With just one more century behind, from taking the number to a ‘half-century’ in itself, Kohli also reached the number of ODI centuries that were hit by India’s God of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar. Understandably so, amid all the celebration, a rather unexpected video from years back resurfaced on social media and instantly went viral. The video was from 2012, when the country was celebrating Tendulkar’s 100th century that he scored at the Asia Cup against Bangladesh. A party was thrown to commemorate the win, and among all the festivities, the God of Cricket himself was asked a question- Sachin was asked if he thinks that some other player will be able to break his record.

Answering the question with a lot of confidence and hope, the man took the names of two of the most iconic cricketers; Viral Kohli and Rohit Shama. Now, with Virat equalling his ODI hundreds with Sachin's after yesterday's match, fans were quick to react to the years-old video and made it go viral for the second time. 

The video was shared on the social media site X (formerly Twitter) by the user ‘ishanjoshii’. The post was captioned, “Sachin Tendulkar had predicted this way back in 2012 about #ViratKohli and #RohitSharma - God of Cricket for a reason.”

The video resurfaced recently and is now doing rounds on social media. Most people recalled Sachin’s ace gameplay and pinned their hopes on the prediction, while others commended Virat Kohli’s performance. The video was shared a few days ago and gained 75K views from people.

Taking to the comment box, people shared their take. “Bhisma Pitama of Indian Cricket,” a user said. “One has to be modest and say this else it will be considered as arrogance. But the fact is that records are mostly meant to be broken at some point in the future so let's see if and when it happens,” added another user. “Back then I laughed at that comment as well. But now I know how much knowledge this man has about cricket,” added a third person. “Yes a legendary person knows the future,” added another. “Gautam Gambhir once said -If Rohit Sharma doesn't become India's captain, it's India's loss, not Rohit's,” recalled a next.
