Matching one’s opinions with their potential partner before finally going for the bigger step- marriage- is one the most important things to do. The same goes for arranged marriages as well, where people often put forward their expectations and takes before choosing a partner. Doing something similar, a woman’s matrimonial ad was shared in a newspaper. However, the ad eventually made it to social media after going viral for some of the most bizarre reasons. Clarifying her own age as 30, the woman demanded a ‘handsome 25 to 28-year-old businessman’. The woman also mentioned rules like ‘No farters/ burpers’, which only made that entire thing a bit more ‘unique’.

“MATCH for an opinionated feminist. 30+ educated girls, short hair, piercings, works in the social sector agnst cap'lism. Wanted h'some, well built, strictly 25-28 yr old only son with estd business, bungalow/ atleast 20 acre farm house. Should know cooking. No farters/ burpers plz. Write to curbyourpatriarchy@mail.com,” the ad read.

Needless to say, the ad went viral in no time, gaining all kinds of reactions. Most people cracked jokes on the demands, while some called the woman names. A few speculated about the ad being a meme or some kind of practical joke.

The post was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘rishibagree’. The post was captioned, “30-year-old feminist woman, working against capitalism requires a 25-year-old wealthy boy with a well-established business. Koi Ho to batana.” The post was shared two days ago and pulled 146K views from people.
