Viral Video: Influencers often go to great lengths to create content for their social media handle. The creators are especially much more creative when it comes to coming up with eye-catching videos. More than often, the videos add more views to their popularity and image, but sometimes, the content ends up backfiring. Becoming the recent victim of such a backfire, a police officer in Punjab’s Jalandhar was suspended because of an influencer. Although the man was not directly involved in the video, his decision to lend the influencer his government vehicle is what triggered the netizens and the authorities. The video showed a woman influencer sitting on a government vehicle's bonnet to create a video for her social media. The lady went on posing for the cameras. As soon as the video went viral, the authorities were quick to suspend the officer for lending his car to the woman.
The video was posted on the social media site X (formerly Twitter) by the user Mridul Sharma. The post was captioned, “BIG BRK: Jalandhar Police Commissioner Kuldeep Chahal IPS has suspended INSP/SHO Ashok Sharma. This action was taken because SHO let the Instagram Star for using the Govt Police Jeep for her Reel/Video.”
In the video, the woman was seen sitting on the bonnet of a police vehicle. With her arm wide open, the influencer continued to pose for her video and pictures. She was also seen showing her middle finger to the camera as she proceeded to pose. At the end of the clip, the girl was seen interacting with a man in uniform.

The video instantly went viral and triggered a reaction by the netizens. Most people were outraged by the influencer's actions, while some criticised the police officer for lending the women a government vehicle for shooting a video. Many also questioned the law and order in Punjab. The video was shared yesterday and pulled many views from the netizens.
Taking to the comment section, people shared their views. “Well done,” a user said. “This was necessary,” added a second. “Kids these days do not understand the gravity of such actions,” joined a third person. “This was a much-needed move,” commented a fourth netizen.
