Beri Vikram news: Indian-origin entrepreneur and millionaire Beri Vikram, 42, was arrested after a dramatic confrontation at a Bay Area winery where he allegedly attempted to start a fire and later crashed his Tesla while trying to flee. The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office described the events as a “wild scene” that unfolded on the afternoon of December 8 at Garrod Farms Estate Winery & Stables in Saratoga.

Staff Confrontation, Wine Bottle Thrown

According to officials, the incident began when winery staff noticed Beri attempting to ignite a fire on the property. When they approached him, he allegedly hurled a bottle of wine at them before rushing to his Tesla and speeding away. In the process, deputies said he intentionally rammed into two parked vehicles, sending one car over an embankment.

Authorities said Beri then drove his own Tesla off the embankment and locked himself inside, refusing multiple commands to surrender. Deputies attempted verbal de-escalation, but Beri reportedly remained non-compliant. The standoff ended only after law enforcement deployed pepperball rounds and spray, forcing him to “crawl out of the car,” according to the sheriff’s statement.

He was taken into custody and later transported to a hospital for evaluation. Officials confirmed he will be booked on charges including assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest once medically cleared.
