Canada School Shooting: A deadly shooting at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in British Columbia has left Canada in mourning. There have been early reports suggesting the possibility of a second individual being involved in the shooting, but authorities have not yet confirmed this. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday afternoon, resulted in the deaths of at least 10 individuals. Authorities have confirmed that the primary suspect, an 18-year-old, died at the scene.

Meanwhile, Investigators are working to establish the timeline of events, identify possible warning signs, and determine if there were any other individuals involved. The shooting took place around 1:20 pm local time in Tumbler Ridge, a small community located roughly 1,100 kilometres north of Vancouver. The shooting left eight people dead, while two others were found dead at a nearby residence, according to Canadian authorities.

Early reports hint at the possibility of a second person being involved, but authorities have not officially confirmed any further suspects. Nearby schools were placed on lockdown as a precaution to ensure the safety of the community. Officials have indicated they will release more details once verification and evidence review are concluded.

Who Was Jesse Strang?

The suspected gunman has been identified by a close family member as 18-year-old Jesse Strang, although authorities have not officially confirmed the identity. Reports from Canadian news outlets, including Juno News and Western Standard, revealed that Strang was transgender, citing a family member’s statement. However, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has yet to release any official confirmation regarding the suspect’s personal details.

Media reports have also indicated that a public YouTube account linked to Strang displayed a transgender flag and used "she/her" pronouns. These claims have circulated widely on social media, although law enforcement has not verified this information. Investigators have stated that their focus remains on the facts of the case, including whether there were any accomplices and the sequence of events.
