'It's Only Beginning...': Rohit Godara Gang Shoots Punjabi Singer In Canada

A gang associated with Rohit Godara has claimed responsibility for shooting a Punjabi Singer Teji Kahlon in Canada. The claim was made online by three men: Mahender Saran Dilana, Rahul Rinau and Vicky Phalwan. They targeted Teji Kahlon, stating he was shot in the stomach. “If he understands, fine. If not, next time we will finish him,” the statement said.

The gang alleged that Kahlon was supporting their rivals through financial aid, weapons, and information-sharing. A statement posted on Facebook included a broader threat: businessmen, builders, money-intermediaries (hawala operators) and anyone helping their enemies are warned, as they said “We will destroy them… this is just the beginning.”

This incident follows a pattern of increasing gang-related violence in Canada involving Indian gangs, including the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Recently, popular Indian comedian Kapil Sharma's Kap’s Cafe in Surrey, British Columbia was attacked for the third time within four months.

Besides, the gand was involved in other shootings in Brampton and Surrey.

“Let me be clear: anyone — even accidentally — who supports or aids our enemies will not be spared. We will target their families and destroy them,” the post warned. “This message goes out to all brothers, businessmen, builders, hawala operators and anyone else: if you help them, you become our enemy. This is only the beginning. Watch what follows.”

Gang wars

The shooting fits a broader pattern of rising gang violence across the US and Canada. Last month, gangster Rohit Godara accused rival Lawrence Bishnoi of treachery, alleging in an unverified social media post that Bishnoi had collaborated with a US agency and passed on sensitive information.

Godara claimed Bishnoi struck a deal with the American agency to protect his brother Anmol and has since been supplying intelligence. He further alleged that Bishnoi plans to target actor Salman Khan to gain notoriety, and urged media outlets not to associate him or his associates with Bishnoi, whom he labelled a traitor.
