ChatGPT Not Working? OpenAI's Chatbot Experiences Widespread Outage

ChatGPT, the popular AI chatbot developed by OpenAI, experienced an outage on Wednesday, affecting thousands of users across the world. According to DownDetector, a platform that tracks service disruptions, over 3,400 users reported issues with ChatGPT. The exact cause of the outage and the current status of the fix aren't specified, but OpenAI is likely working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, given their past responses to similar incidents.

Amid massive outage, OpenAI admitted the issue and updated its status page, saying: "We have identified elevated error rates and are working on a mitigation." Although ChatGPT said it is working on a fix but hasn't revealed the reason behind the outage.

However, hours after the outage, the company posted on its website that the issue was resolved. "All impacted services have now fully recovered. The detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) will be published in the next 5 business days," it said.
