United States President Donald Trump on Friday praised Palantir Technologies, highlighting how artificial intelligence played a major role during the ongoing conflict with Iran. His statement is seen as a major endorsement, suggesting that advanced technology developed by private companies is now central to military strategy.

Trump Praises AI Software

Trump took to Truth Social to strongly support Palantir, saying the company has “great war-fighting capabilities and equipment.” Suggesting that the technology has been used in the current conflict with Iran, he emphasised, “Just ask our enemies!” He wrote, “Palantir Technologies (PLTR) has proven to have great war fighting capabilities and equipment. Just ask our enemies!!! President DJT.”

According to reports, before strikes were carried out on Tehran, the system reportedly processed huge volumes of visual and intelligence data to generate more than a thousand possible strike options for US commanders. Earlier, US CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper, specialised in leading military operations in the Middle East, had publicly talked about how AI platforms are helping officers navigate through information. He added that the technology is allowing leaders to "cut through the noise and make smarter decisions faster than the enemy can react."

The conflict in the Middle East, involving the US, Iran and Israel escalated on February 28. The fighting has led to significant casualties, rising tensions across the Middle East, and disruptions in key global oil routes like the Strait of Hormuz, increasing concerns worldwide. Amid this, the war is increasingly being described as one of the first major conflicts where artificial intelligence is being used in real-time operations.

How Palantir Works?

Unlike earlier wars, where decisions took longer, AI systems are now providing faster and more precise responses on the battlefield. At the centre of this shift is Palantir’s Maven Smart System, which runs on AI technology developed by Anthropic, known as Claude. This system is designed to analyse massive amounts of data, including satellite images, drone footage, and intelligence reports, helping military teams quickly identify threats.
