American celebrated the New Year 2025 with full fervour and joy, however, little did they know about what will ensue in the coming days. In the first week of January, the eastern coast of America witnessed massive wildfires in Los Angeles county, engulfing the posh localities in southern California. Whereas, the western and southern states are witnessing snow storms, which have brought normal life to a halt.
Los Angeles County has been reeling under a series of devastating wildfires since January 6, which have consumed over 16,000 acres within 36 hours of the spread. The regions battling against the fire included the Palisades, Eaton, and Hurst. Five people have lost their lives so far with other notable incidents including the historical ranch of Will Rogers and the iconic Reel Inn fish market gutting in the massive blaze.
On the other side of America, a severe winter and snow storm has wreaked havoc in parts of Kansas, Florida, Washington DC, Nebraska and Indiana. The blizzard has led to school closures, travel disruptions and evacuation of thousands from these regions.

Emergency Due To Wildfire
Wildfires in the regions of Los Angeles, including the Palisades, Eaton, Hurst and Lidai have engulfed over 30,000 acres of land, leading to destruction of more than 1000 structures. At least five people died and over 1,00,00 people were evacuated from the places.
Powerful Santa Ana winds, reaching speeds up to100 miles per hour, became the reason for the spread of the fire. On January 8, over 3,10,000 people faced power outages with more than half to be from Los Angeles County.
