Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended a warm gesture of diplomacy and tradition as he presented a series of handcrafted, culturally rich gifts to Russian President Vladimir Putin during the latter’s visit to India. Each gift reflected India’s heritage, craftsmanship, and the longstanding relationship between the two nations.

The gift list began with Fine Assam Black Tea, grown in the lush Brahmaputra Valley. Known for its bold malty flavour and bright liquor, this tea has held a Geographical Indication (GI) tag since 2007. Beyond its historical and cultural value, Assam tea is cherished for its potential health benefits, making it a meaningful and comforting offering.
