'You Started War, But We Set Terms': What Are Iran's 10-Point Conditions To End Conflict?

Iran's Supreme National Security Council said on Wednesday that the two-week ceasefire with the United States does not signal an end to the war, pending negotiations over the details of its 10-point plan.

What are Iran's 10-point conditions that the US has accepted as "workable":
The US is fundamentally committed to:

1. Non-aggression 

2. Continuation of Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz

3. Acceptance of enrichment

4. Lifting all primary sanctions

5. Lifting all secondary sanctions

6. Termination of all UN Security Council resolutions

7. Termination of all IAEA Board of Governors resolutions

8. Payment of compensation to Iran

9. Withdrawal of US combat forces from the region

10. Cessation of war on all fronts, including against the heroic Islamic Resistance of Lebanon.

Among the most significant demands is Washington's "Acceptance of enrichment," referring to Iran's nuclear program, which has long been a central point of contention between the two nations and the international community. Tehran has also called for sweeping economic relief, including the "Lifting all primary sanctions" and "Lifting all secondary sanctions," measures that have severely impacted Iran's economy over the years.

Contrasting angles in Iran's 10-point ceasefire plan

Interestingly, Iran in the Farsi-language version of its 10-point ceasefire plan included the phrase "acceptance of enrichment" for its nuclear programme, something that was missing in English versions shared by Iranian diplomats to journalists. It wasn't immediately clear why that term was missing. However, US President Donald Trump had said ending Iran's nuclear programme entirely was a key point of the war. Trump, after Iran issued its 10-point plan, had described it as fraudulent, without elaborating.

In contrast to english version of Iran's ten demands, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel backed the US ceasefire with Iran but that the deal doesn't cover fighting against Hezbollah in Lebanon. However, as per Iran, cessation included not to attack against Lebanon.
