In a major development, minutes before US President Donald Trump’s bold warning to end Iranian civilisation, both sides agreed to pause the ongoing conflict for at least two weeks. As per the Iranian side, it has presented 10-point conditions to the US, with Trump saying it can be workable.
However, Iran in the Farsi-language version of its 10-point ceasefire plan included the phrase "acceptance of enrichment" for its nuclear program, something that was missing in English versions shared by Iranian diplomats to journalists. It wasn't immediately clear why that term was missing. However, Trump had said ending Iran's nuclear program entirely was a key point of the war.
What Trump said on Iran's uranium enrichment plans
Trump said the US has received a 10-point proposal from Iran, which he called a "workable basis on which to negotiate." But when asked about his original threats to destroy Iran's civilian power plants and bridges if the deal fell apart, Trump said, "You're going to have to see," the AFP report said. Trump insisted that Iran's nuclear material would be covered by any peace deal, the report said.

"That will be perfectly taken care of, or I wouldn't have settled," Trump told AFP without giving any specifics about what would happen to the uranium. Trump, who has offered shifting goals and timelines for the war, reiterated that he felt Washington's objectives had been achieved.
Iran's Supreme National Security Council said it has accepted a two-week ceasefire in the war. Its statement said it would negotiate with the United States in Islamabad beginning Friday. "It is emphasised that this does not signify the termination of the war," the statement said. "Our hands remain upon the trigger, and should the slightest error be committed by the enemy, it shall be met with full force."
What Trump said on Hormuz opening
Trump said he's pulling back on his threats to widen attacks on Iran. The president said that includes an array of bridges, power plants and other civilian targets - subject to Iran being ready for a two-week ceasefire and to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump told AFP on Tuesday that the United States had won a "total and complete victory" after agreeing to a two-week ceasefire deal with Iran. "Total and complete victory. 100 per cent. No question about it," Trump told AFP in the brief call when asked if he was claiming victory with the ceasefire.
