Iran-Israel War: The ongoing conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran has entered its 21st day on March 20 with no clear sign of de-escalation as missile strikes, drone attacks and air raids continue across the Middle East. Israel launched a fresh wave of attacks on Iran on Friday, a day after President Donald Trump told it not to repeat its strikes on Iranian natural gas infrastructure, which sharply escalated the US-Israeli war on Iran.

Israel claimed it has launched another massive attack on Tehran after the Israeli military forces identified missiles were launched from Iran. Iran has activated its air defences to intercept incoming drone missiles from Israel.

Bahrain, Kuwait and the UAE said they were dealing with missile attacks in the early hours of Friday, following days of Iranian strikes on regional energy infrastructure that have roiled global markets.

Iran Strikes On Israel

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its latest wave of strikes targeted areas in central and southern Israel, including Tel Aviv, as well as US military bases across the region, Al Jazeera reported, citing the IRGC-linked Fars news agency.

Israeli Miltary Confirms Missiles Attack By Tehran

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) confirmed that missiles were launched from Iran towards Israeli territory, prompting the activation of air defence systems to intercept the incoming threats, but it did not provide any details or evidence to support its claims.

In a post shared on X, the IDF said on Friday, "The IDF has identified that a short while ago, missiles were launched from Iran toward the territory of the State of Israel. The defence systems are operating to intercept the threat."

"The defence systems are operating to intercept the threat. In the last few minutes, the Home Front Command has issued a preliminary directive directly to mobile phones in the relevant areas. The public is requested to exercise responsibility and act in accordance with the directives – they save lives," the post further read.

Authorities also issued emergency alerts to civilians in affected areas. The Home Front Command sent preliminary directives directly to mobile phones, urging residents to immediately move to protected spaces.

The IDF added that civilians should not leave protected areas until an explicit directive is given.

The Israeli Air Force says its aircraft carried out dozens of strikes on Iran over the past day, hitting more than 130 infrastructure targets in western and central Iran. The air force is continuing the attacks, according to the Jagran.com report.

According to Al Jazeera, Tehran was hit by several airstrikes early this morning. These airstrikes occurred in the eastern part of Tehran. Three or four explosions occurred in a row in Tehran. Powerful explosions were heard throughout the city as air defence systems targeted incoming US and Israeli drones.

Iran's air defence system was activated shortly before the explosions were heard, and it remains active to this day.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said US aggression against Iran and the assassination of its former supreme leader "represent a new approach in international disputes that will demolish the legal systems of the world".

In a post on X, he warned, "If the international community does not firmly stand against this crisis, the fire of this flame will burn the robes of many."

The Middle East conflict started following the killing of 86-year-old Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in joint military strikes by the US and Israel, after which Iran, in its retaliation, targeted Israeli and US assets in several Gulf countries and Israel, causing disruption in the waterway and affecting international energy markets and global economic stability since February 28.
