A bizarre conspiracy theory has resurfaced on social media, claiming that former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is the biological father of Barron Trump, the youngest son of US President Donald Trump. Though completely unfounded and lacking any credible evidence, the speculation is gaining traction online once again, thanks to comparisons of physical features and old viral photos.

The theory first gained popularity during Donald Trump’s first presidency, particularly after a photo of First Lady Melania Trump greeting Justin Trudeau went viral. In the image, Melania is seen smiling and seemingly warm toward Trudeau, sparking internet chatter about their supposed chemistry. Social media users began speculating wildly, suggesting that her interactions with Trudeau were more affectionate than those with her husband, Donald Trump.

Recently, the theory has picked up steam again, following a public appearance by Barron Trump during Trump's campaign events. Observers online began drawing comparisons between Barron and Trudeau, claiming similarities in facial features such as the jawline, nose, eyes, ears, and even hairstyle.

One user on X posted, "Take a look at these photos of Melania Trump getting personal with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Trudeau close up and Barron Trump. Now try to convince me that Barron is actually Donald's kid." The post has amassed over 37,000 views and features side-by-side images of Barron and Trudeau to suggest a resemblance.

Reddit users added to the frenzy with sarcastic and humorous takes. One user joked, "Wow! Take that Donnie... Is that why Sophie left Justin? Stay tuned for another episode of 'As The World Burns’,” referencing Trudeau’s split from his wife and the soap opera As The World Turns.

Others pointed out the absurdity of the theory. A Canadian user commented, "The picture shown of Former PM Justin Trudeau has been altered to make him look like Barron Trump. I'm Canadian. I know." Another added, "Are you sure about that? Maybe a blood test is in order..."

When users tried to generate AI images imagining Trudeau as Barron's father, platforms like Grok refused, citing the importance of not fueling baseless conspiracy theories. Grok responded: "This idea lacks any credible evidence. Barron is documented as the son of Donald and Melania Trump, according to reliable sources like Wikipedia and People magazine."

In reality, there is absolutely no factual basis to support the claim. Barron Trump is publicly and legally recognised as the biological child of Donald and Melania Trump.
