Israel-Hamas War: In a fresh development over an ongoing deadly conflict between Israel and the Hamas militant group, at least 51 Palestinians, mostly women and children, were killed and scores wounded in an Israeli bombardment of Gaza's Maghazi camp on Saturday night, news agency Reuters reported citing Palestinian news agency WAFA.

- Amid mounting casualties among Palestinian civilians, the United States and its Arab allies seemed split on Israel's military campaign in Gaza to overthrow Hamas as Washington alongside Israel resisted pressure for an immediate ceasefire.

- Arab foreign ministers forced US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who is currently in the Middle East for a diplomatic tour, to convince Israel to accept a truce.

- During a meeting with Najib Mikati, the acting prime minister of Lebanon, in Amman, Blinken conveyed his "deep concern" on the crossfire along Lebanon's southern border with Israel.

- According to the armed wing of the Palestinian militant group Hamas, more than sixty hostages were reported missing on Saturday as a result of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza. 

- Amid all this, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen thanked his India counterpart S Jaishankar for supporting the country's war against Hamas, saying, the "war against a despicable terrorist organisation that is worse than ISIS".

-  "Thank you @DrSJaishankar for your support of Israel and of its war against the Hamas terrorist organisation. Our war is the entire democratic world's war against a despicable terrorist organisation that is worse than ISIS," Cohen posted on X.

On October 7, over 2,000 Hamas terrorists infiltrated Israel by land, sea and air, killing 1,400 lives and taking over 200 people as hostages.
