The United States on Sunday carried out strikes at three nuclear sites in Iran. US President Donald Trump confirmed this development, stating that attacks were carried out in Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.

"We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter," Trump posted on Truth Social.

Trump said he will be addressing the nation from the White House about the military operation. He also said that Iran should now agree to end the war.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has hailed Donald Trump for the US' successful military operation in Iran. Netanyahu said the US has done something that no country could do.

"America has been truly unsurpassed. It has done what no other country on earth could do. History will record that President Trump acted to deny the world's most dangerous regime, the world's most dangerous weapons," Netanyahu said in a video address on X.

“Congratulations, President Trump, your bold decision to target Iran’s nuclear facilities with the awesome and righteous might of the United States will change history," he added.

Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen stated that if the Trump administration joins Israel’s military campaign, they will resume attacks on American ships in the Red Sea. The Houthis had previously halted such attacks in May under an agreement with the US.
