Microsoft global outage has impacted countless services across the globe, ranging from Banking to aviation. The massive IT failure has prompted some countries to go into emergency response mode, with Australia convening an emergency meeting to understand and tackle the outage. In the US, UK and India, millions of users faced issues in accessing IT services on their Microsoft Windows devices. While hundreds of flights were hit, media companies bore the brunt, as Sky News briefly went off-air. Most of the devices showed a complete blue 'screen of death'.
Caught in the eye of the storm of IT failure was CrowdStrike - a company which provides cyber security services to Microsoft. Reports suggest that the outage originated at CrowdStrike servers. This global Microsoft Windows outage has been considered the "biggest" in the company's history.

India: Primarily, India witnessed a significant aviation disruption which impacted both - airports as well as passenger flight operations. Two largest international airports - Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport and Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport - reported technical disruption.
“Due to the global IT issue, some of the services at the Delhi Airport were temporarily impacted. We are closely working with all our stakeholders to minimise the inconvenience to our flyers,” said a statement from the Delhi Airport.

All flights of major fliers including American Airlines, Delta and United were grounded as a precautionary measure.
